Edusport students were given the opportunity to visit one of the most historic stadiums in world football, Ibrox, home of Rangers FC.
Rangers are one of the most successful teams in Scottish and World Football playing at a fantastic 50,000 seated capacity stadium that is both modern and historically one of the best stadiums in the UK.
The tour at Rangers gave our students and all access pass to Ibrox. They were able to visit the Press/Media Room where students took photos and got to pretend they were a Rangers player in a post match interview! They visited both the Home and Away changing rooms, learning about the history of each.
Then the players would be able to walk out through the tunnel and on to the pitch seeing the full stadium in all of it’s glory. After this they visited the famous blue room, where directors and famous rangers fans would gather after a game and lastly the famous trophy room where they were able to learn about the incredibly proud, rich and successful history that Rangers have had.
Football student Nicolas Certuax said: “It has been a great opportunity to visit Ibrox, we can learn about the history of the club and stadium.
While Ryan Vert said “ It was incredibly interesting to go to ibrox, everything that we seen was great and the trophy room was excellent.”
